Why we exist

We do not believe customers should need a sales call to discover a price. We do not believe useful features should be deliberately withheld to create an upgrade. We do not believe an organization should pay more simply because its community grew.

And we do not believe a software company should automatically receive a percentage every time a donor gives.

The origin

Advocora was born from experience.

Our founder founded and served as executive director of a conservative grassroots organization called Tennessee Stands.

From the beginning, the organization relied on software to manage supporters, fundraising, communications, and grassroots engagement. For years, Tennessee Stands used Salsa Labs CRM.

Salsa Labs was acquired in 2021 by EveryAction, which later became part of Bonterra.

In 2023, Bonterra removed Tennessee Stands—a conservative grassroots organization—from its platform after indicating it was positioned to serve progressive-leaning organizations.

That experience changed the way we think about mission-critical software. A CRM is not just another subscription. It can become the operational backbone of your organization— donor history, supporter relationships, communications infrastructure, fundraising workflows.

And when your software provider decides that your mission, your beliefs, or your political viewpoint no longer fit its preferred customer profile, the consequences are real.

Advocora was built so conservative organizations do not have to live with that risk. You should be able to choose powerful technology without wondering whether your beliefs will eventually be used against you.

Mission first, software second.

If a feature is technically clever but doesn't help an organization raise more money, mobilize supporters, or thank more donors, it doesn't ship.
